Bridges and Dentures

Missing teeth is a common issue for many patients and there are a number of ways to replace them. The best option will depend on how many teeth you are missing and where they are in your mouth, so your dentist is always best placed to advise you regarding the best solution. However, the key ways to replace missing teeth are through a denture, bridge or a dental implant.

Dentures – full or partial are one option which are removable. These can be made to be very comfortable and realistic. Some patients also opt to have their dentures retained by dental implants – making them feel more like real teeth when they are in.

A bridge is a fixed option but is often used where there are fewer teeth to replace or if the missing teeth are only on one side of the mouth. Again, the dental technicians we use can make these look very realistic and again they can be used alongside having dental implants.

Dental implants are also an option for missing teeth and as outlined, the lab technician will then make a crown, bridge or denture to connect to the dental implants.
